Tariq Mondal
Tariq I. Mondal is VP of Broadcast Positioning System at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) in Washington, DC. He is involved in Next Gen TV innovation projects. He is one of the original inventors and champions of Broadcast Positioning System™ (BPS™). Tariq is an expert in wireless communications, signal processing, software development, and PNT.
Prior to joining NAB, Tariq worked in R&D divisions at CommScope and Andrew Corporation developing wireless geolocation solutions. He led cross-functional teams, managed projects, designed systems, developed algorithms, developed software/firmware, developed intellectual property strategies, and managed patent portfolio. Prior to CommScope, Tariq worked at Hughes Network System designing wireless and satellite communication systems, developing wireless modem ASICs, implementing receiver algorithms in DSP, and developing embedded software for satellite receivers.
Tariq holds BS in Electrical Engineering from BUET, MS in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech, and MBA from University of Maryland. He is the inventor/co-inventor of 21 PNT-focused patents.
